ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Non-guaranteed work— how it works:
Falling for Wildfires is on an if/as-needed basis, and is dependent upon the extent and severity of the fire season. There is no guarantee of work.
When you successfully apply to Nakimu as a Wildfire Faller, you will be added to our “Wildfire Faller Roster”. Throughout the fire-season, Nakimu will receive notification from the government requesting our firefighting services. We will then consult our roster and contact employees for deployment.
Because of the nature of the non-guaranteed work, there is no obligation for employees to be available when we contact you for deployment. However, if you are available and you accept a deployment request, you must be willing to commit to a potential two-week deployment.
PROJECT FALLERS
For Fallers looking to join the Nakimu team but do not wish to do any fireline falling, we have many ongoing forestry and fuel management projects that operate year-round.
